Elon Musk is finishing his official role in the Trump administration, but if President Trump’s last social site is some indication, the billionaire is not far away.

“Tomorrow I have a press conference at 13:30 Est, with Elon Musk, in the Oval Office,” Trump published Thursday. “This will be your last day, but not really, because it will always be with us, helping -all the way. Elon is fantastic!”

The Musk government service will end on May 30, the legal limit of 130 days for its designation of “special government employee”. He was designated in January to head the Government Efficiency Department (DOGE), created in executive order on the opening day.

What is below for DOGE after Elon Musk’s departure? “Just starts”

“As my time intended as a special government employee ends, I would like to thank President @realdonaldtrump for the opportunity to reduce wasted spending,” Musk published on Wednesday X. “The @Doge mission will only be strengthened over time, as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.”

White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, emphasized on Thursday that “DOGE leaders are all members of the President’s Cabinet and the President himself, who undertakes to cut off waste, fraud and abuse of our government.”

And the cuts are added.

According to an update of May 26 on DOGE website, the initiative has saved $ 175 billion through assets sales, contracts cancellations, repression of fraud payments and other expenses cuts. This results in $ 1,087 in taxpayer savings.

Elon Musk does not regret working in DOGE, support for Trump: “essential” for America “to reach the highest heights”

DOGE’s reach has spread through the federal government, but not without impetus.

Democrats in Congress have significantly criticized Musk’s role. During a supervision audience of the February house, representative Melanie Stansbury, DN.M., called his “reckless and illegal” influence, accusing Trump of “outsourcing ruler to a billionaire that responds to anyone.”

Representative Jasmine Crockett, D-Texas, warned that Musk acted as a “non-selected officer” within the executive branch.

Despite critics, the markets are welcoming Musk’s return to the private sector. Bloomberg reported that Tesla’s shares increased by 4.2% this week in the news of his government departure.

In a call to investors earlier this month, Musk reassured the shareholders: “From June, I will allocate much more time in Tesla and Spacex now that the Dooge’s bases are in their place.”
